Ephedrine
is a powerful bronchodilator and decongestant which combines
the active ingredients Ephedrine Hydrochloride (25mg).
Ephedrine HCL is a sympathomimetic drug derived from the stem
and leaves of the Chinese plant Ephedra Sinica - also known as
ma-huang - which dilates the bronchioles and has pronounced stimulating
effects on the central nervous system - a more prolonged though
less potent action than adrenaline. Oral nasal decongestant for

Ephedra has a long history of safe use at the recommended amount.
However, abuse of the herb, especially for weight loss—can lead
to amphetamine-like side effects, including elevated blood pressure,
muscle disturbances, insomnia, dry mouth, heart palpitations, nervousness,
and even death due to heart failure. Note: Anyone with high blood pressure,
heart conditions, diabetes, glaucoma, thyroid disease, and those taking
MAO-inhibiting antidepressants should consult with a physician before
using any type of product with ephedra. Pseudoephedrine can cause drowsiness
and should be used with caution if driving or operating machinery.
Ephedra-based products should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation
and used with caution in children under the age of six years.
Ephedrine HCL Warning
Not for use by individuals under the age of 18. Do not use if pregnant
or nursing. Consult a physician before using this product if you have,
or have a family history of, heart disease, angina, thyroid disease,
diabetes, high blood pressure, recurrent headaches, bleeding disorder,
depression or other psychiatric condition, glaucoma, difficulty in
urinating, prostate enlargement, or seizure disorder, if you are using
a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or any other dietary supplement,
prescription drug or over-the-counter drug containing ephedrine, pseudoephedrine
or phenylpropanolamine (ingredients found in certain decongestants,
allergy, asthma, cough/cold and weight control products).
The maximum recommended serving of ephedrine for a healthy adult is
100 mg in a 24-hour period for not more than 12 weeks. Exceeding the
recommended serving or use restrictions may cause serious adverse health
effects including heart attack and stroke. Side effects may occur include
insomnia, nervousness, or hand-tremor. Discontinue use and call a physician
immediately if you experience rapid heartbeat, dizziness, severe headache,
shortness of breath or other similar symptoms. Individuals who consume
caffeine with this product may experience serious adverse health effects.
